TWO services will take place in the Staffin next month to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Remembrance Sunday Services take place on November 14 at the Staffin and Valtos war memorials, respectively from 2.30pm.
The monuments mark the contribution to freedom by those who served in the Boer and First and Second world wars, and military personnel from across the Atlantic.
Please note the service at Staffin will take place first this year, which is a change to the usual order. The Culnacnoc service will be held at 3pm.
Deputy Lord Lieutenant Norma Young will be in attendance, as will Staffin Community Council / Trust and the Staffin Fire Unit who lay wreaths at both services. The names of the fallen are also read out with a two minute silence at each memorial. Services will also be held in Kilmuir at 3pm and Kilmaluag at 3.30pm.
